Room Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and assigned public areas are clean, safe and welcoming, supporting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Housekeeping team, the role follows established SOPs and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect room keys, daily work assignments and relevant information from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Prepare and organise the housekeeping trolley with supplies, linen, cleaning equipment and amenities.
• Clean, service and maintain guest rooms according to hotel SOPs and brand standards.
• Replenish room amenities, linen, minibar items and bathroom supplies.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitise guest bathrooms, ensuring all fixtures are functional and defect‑free.
• Handle guest belongings with discretion, report lost‑and‑found items and coordinate laundry requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, service pantries and back‑of‑house areas.
• Report maintenance defects, damages and safety hazards to Engineering or the Supervisor.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene and security procedures, using equipment and chemicals safely.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and brand standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Willingness to report safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift supplies.
