Room Care Technician

About the role

The Room Care Technician ensures that guest rooms and related facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support the overall comfort and safety of hotel guests.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect equipment, identify shut‑off valves, and operate utility shut‑offs.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document shift activities.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC units, TV systems, and other guestroom items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler maintenance.
• Input HVAC schedules and adjust temperature settings using computer systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to acquire additional technical knowledge as needed.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks safely.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies.
