Rotating Technician

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Rotating Technician in Doha, within its oil and gas business. The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors and gearboxes, and works closely with engineers and supervisors to improve equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes)
• Carry out equipment inspections, vibration analysis and alignment checks
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical components including bearings, seals, shafts and couplings
• Take precision measurements with micrometers, dial gauges and laser alignment tools
• Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage and equipment history
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems and HSE policies
• Support commissioning and testing of rotating equipment after maintenance or installation
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve equipment reliability and performance

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance (oil and gas, power plants, industrial facilities)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, lubrication and alignment techniques
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with vibration monitoring systems and condition-based maintenance
