About the role
Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Safety Officer in Mesaieed, Qatar, within its oil and gas sector. The position is full time and calls for someone with strong hands-on experience in site safety.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits and toolbox talks
- Monitor compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work (PTW), job safety analysis (JSA) and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures
- Investigate incidents and near misses and prepare HSE reports
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, workers and HSE management
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Safety Officer
- Experience on oil and gas, industrial or construction projects preferred
- Valid QID or freelance visa holders preferred
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of QHSE procedures and site safety requirements
- NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA certification preferred
