About the role
QatarEnergy is looking for a Senior Instrument Technician in Dukhan. The role covers first-line maintenance of instruments related to gas turbines, ESD, fire and gas control systems, HMI and PLC, ensuring equipment reliability, operability and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, control, monitor, install and calibrate assigned field instruments.
- Carry out troubleshooting on instruments.
- Check that tools and spare parts are available and sufficient to meet safety and maintenance standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience maintaining modern control systems from reputable OEMs in the oil and gas industry.
- Diploma or equivalent in electronics instrumentation control systems.
Required skills
- Specialised knowledge of control systems such as Honeywell, ASS, Yokogawa, Emerson, Triconex, Rockwell and HIMA.
- 10gic/HMI programming, especially for the latest FF DCS and SIL-rated ESD and F&G systems.
- Familiarity with IEC-60508/511, ISA and Shell DEPs is preferable.
