Secondary English Language Teacher – British Academies, Doha

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Secondary English Language Teacher to join our British Academies network in Doha. You will inspire students aged 11‑16 to develop strong communication skills, a love for literature, and confidence in both spoken and written English.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 English Language (and Literature where applicable) lessons.
• Assess student progress against national standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Employ creative, student‑centred teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Foster a multicultural, inclusive classroom environment that promotes global awareness.
• Contribute to school‑wide initiatives, professional development, and collaborative planning.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Education or a related field with recognised teaching credentials (e.g., QTS, PGCE or equivalent).
• Completed Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction.
• Experience teaching KS3/KS4 English Language, with knowledge of assessment standards.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural setting and work effectively within a team.
