Secondary Science Teacher

About the role

Newton International Academy in Barwa City, Qatar, is looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join its British‑curriculum school starting August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver KS3‑5 science lessons, support student wellbeing, and contribute to a vibrant learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, competitions, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and senior leadership to support holistic student development.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Qualified science teacher with a full‑time science degree and transcripts.
• At least two years of experience teaching the English National Curriculum (ECTs are also encouraged to apply).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with staff, students, and parents.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 and able to provide proof.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using IT tools for lesson planning and delivery.
