Security Architect – Cloud Security Specialist

About the role

Capco is seeking a Security Architect to design and deliver secure, resilient cloud environments for its clients in the financial services sector. You will work across business, security, architecture, engineering, risk and technology teams to embed security from the start of cloud transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security strategies, policies and controls that meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Create secure architectures and patterns for public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to embed security into infrastructure, applications and delivery pipelines.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits, identify vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
• Assess cloud security risks, identify control gaps and provide practical recommendations balancing security and business needs.

Required profile

• Strong experience in cloud security architecture and cybersecurity within regulated environments.
• Practical knowledge of security architecture principles, IAM, encryption, network security, logging, monitoring and cloud‑native controls.
• Understanding of security frameworks, governance, risk management and security‑by‑design principles.
• Clear communication and stakeholder‑management skills to translate complex requirements into actionable designs.
