Senior ELV Engineer

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Senior ELV Engineer in Qatar, reporting to the Project Manager or ELV Engineering Manager. The engineer manages the design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards and local regulations. The role combines strong technical expertise in multimedia, telecommunications and ELV systems with leadership skills to guide teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and technical review: develop, review and approve ELV designs, drawings and specifications, and provide technical solutions for complex challenges.
• Installation and commissioning: supervise installation, configuration and testing of CCTV, access control, BMS, fire alarm, public address and multimedia systems; coordinate with contractors and vendors; ensure timely completion within budget and quality.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting: lead maintenance and repair, troubleshoot faults including programming adjustments, and optimise system performance to minimise downtime.
• Project coordination: liaise with multidisciplinary teams, clients and suppliers, guide junior engineers and technicians, and keep projects on schedule.
• Quality and compliance: ensure compliance with MME/UPDA licensing requirements, conduct inspections against design specifications and safety standards, and maintain documentation for approvals, inspections and handovers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Telecommunication or Computer Engineering.
• MME/UPDA license (mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar ELV engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm, access control, IPTV, public address and integrated systems.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Analytical and diagnostic skills, and ability to lead technical teams and work independently.
• Excellent communication and coordination, attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Working conditions combine office and site-based work, with possible extended hours depending on project needs.
