Senior Manager – Compliance & Quality (Catering Services)

About the role

Qatar Airways Catering Services is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the strategic compliance and quality function. Reporting to the VP of Catering Operations, you will shape the governance framework that ensures every food, beverage, equipment and amenity delivered to passengers meets the highest industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously evolve a comprehensive compliance and quality framework covering food safety, onboard equipment, serviceware, passenger amenities, supplier performance, regulatory adherence and sustainability.
• Define quality standards for all product and service categories and drive organisational change to embed these standards across the operation.
• Collaborate with menu development chefs, procurement, supply chain and operational teams to align compliance with innovation and commercial goals.
• Lead and develop the existing compliance team, elevating their focus from operational checks to strategic quality leadership.
• Provide strategic direction and senior leadership alongside the Grade 9 Compliance Manager, who handles day‑to‑day operational compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in compliance, quality assurance or food safety within a large, complex catering or aviation environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into business‑enabling processes.
• Demonstrated capability to lead organisational transformation and manage cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and food safety regulations.
• Experience with HACCP or equivalent food safety management systems.
• Ability to develop and implement compliance governance frameworks.
