Senior Officer – Treasury

About the role

The Senior Officer – Treasury will lead the Treasury Operations team, overseeing validation, authorization and settlement of all treasury transactions while ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily treasury activities, verify deals from dealers, identify duplicates or unauthorised transactions and take corrective action.
• Ensure SWIFT messages are prepared and released before cut‑off times and confirm outgoing payment details with dealers at end‑of‑day.
• Maintain daily input of FX forward points in the Core Banking system and monitor derivatives settlement and rate updates.
• Oversee month‑end and month‑start processes such as amortisation, revaluation and reconciliation of suspense/GL accounts.
• Dispatch transaction confirmations promptly, update SOPs and checklists, and respond to audit or RSA items within agreed timeframes.
• Reconcile counter‑party holdings against core banking books and support ad‑hoc requests from line management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of treasury or finance experience, including team‑leading responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging procedures.
• Experience using Core Banking systems for transaction processing.
