Senior Service Sales Engineer

About the role

ABB is hiring a Senior Service Sales Engineer in Doha, reporting to the Local Division Manager. The role focuses on driving service sales, generating service opportunities and securing profitable sales in the assigned areas, with a focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the full Service product portfolio. The work model is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Penetrate the Installed Base, promote upgrades, retrofits and value-add solutions, and build long-term customer relationships while responding quickly to customer needs.
• Understand the channel strategy, set related prices, prepare and review sales plans, and propose recovery plans when needed.
• Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities using market trend information and by exploring new service portfolios.
• Act as marketer and salesperson of ABB's service products at campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and customer meetings.
• Develop and grow service partners in the assigned area.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in industrial service sales, technical sales or business development.
• Proven experience selling motors and/or drives services.
• Experience developing industrial or government customers in Qatar and building relationships across technical, operational, procurement and management stakeholders.
• Experience with motor and drive service portfolios, service agreements, modernization, energy efficiency or digital service solutions is strongly preferred.
