Senior Strategy and Business Planning Director

About the role

The Senior Strategy and Business Planning Director will steer group‑wide strategic planning, financial analysis and performance management across multiple business segments. Reporting to the Board and Executive Committee, this leader will ensure long‑term value creation through integrated strategy, budgeting and performance optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy across all units and geographies.
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning cycle, aligning with strategic priorities.
• Oversee financial performance analysis, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Manage group‑level financial reporting, consolidation and performance dashboards.
• Support Board and Executive Committee reporting, including strategic presentations and financial insights.
• Evaluate investments, M&A opportunities and capital allocation decisions.
• Lead business performance improvement initiatives such as cost optimisation and revenue enhancement.
• Establish financial governance frameworks, policies and internal controls across entities.
• Partner with business leaders on commercial decision‑making and strategic initiatives.
• Build and lead a high‑performing strategy and business planning team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (mandatory).
• Professional qualification: CA, ACCA or CMA (fully qualified); CFA charter is a strong advantage.
• 12‑18 years of finance experience, including 3‑5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in holding/group structures with multiple business segments and cross‑border financial oversight.
• Track record of managing group‑level P&L and leading teams of 5+ members.
• Experience supporting Board and Executive‑level reporting and exposure to M&A, project finance or investment analysis.
