Service Delivery - Database Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our Information Technology Services – Service Operations & Delivery team. You will be responsible for managing complex database environments across cloud and on‑premise platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, administer, and optimise client database environments to meet availability, security and performance targets.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch and maintain database systems.
• Perform backup, recovery, troubleshooting and performance‑tuning activities.
• Administer databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, on‑premises and Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platforms.
• Monitor performance and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Support migrations, upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Plan storage requirements and implement data‑protection processes.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects on designs, deployments, documentation and procedures.
• Maintain accurate configuration data in the CMDB and related documentation.
• Support Change and Release Management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in database administration or a similar IT role.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and ATP environments.
• Proven ability in database backup, recovery, tuning and overall administration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional technical teams and a commitment to service excellence.
