Social Studies Teacher (Business Specialism)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Social Studies Teacher with a Business specialism to join our school community in Qatar. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons to middle‑school and high‑school students, fostering both academic excellence and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Teach General Social Studies to Grades 6–8 and Business to Grades 9–12 (HSD, IBDP, or A Level).
• Design and deliver high‑quality, interactive lessons that motivate learners of all abilities.
• Plan and develop curriculum‑aligned learning materials and schemes of work.
• Use data and assessment strategies to monitor student progress and drive achievement.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Maintain clear communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, department initiatives, and wider school life.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and model professional conduct in line with Qatar cultural expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant Humanities/Business field.
• Valid teaching certification that meets Qatar MoEHE requirements.
• Experience teaching Business at HSD, IB DP, or A Level (IB DP Business Management advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of Social Studies curriculum and pedagogy.
• Effective classroom management and ability to build strong relationships with students.
• Innovative, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passionate about inspiring students and supporting their academic and personal growth.
