Storekeeper - Construction

About the role

The Storekeeper works within the company's stores procedure and inspects site stores weekly. The role covers the handling, recording and movement of materials on site, in line with safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the company's stores procedure correctly and inspect site stores weekly.
• Maintain daily records of SRBDs / SIDBs and update Stores bin cards.
• Coordinate with the Purchase department so purchase orders are checked against stores before new purchases.
• Issue store transfer vouchers and gate passes for materials moving between sites, and check that received materials are covered by MRs / LPOs and invoice items.
• Record and sign off tools on loan and ensure issued stores match authorised receipt signatures.
• Maintain proper monthly inventory, update market prices quarterly and train storekeepers on the stores computerisation system.
• Comply with safe working procedures, use PPE, assist with risk assessments and report HSE problems.

Required profile

• University degree (Commerce, Materials or Stores Management preferred).
• Minimum 5 years as a storekeeper, preferably in construction; Gulf experience preferred.

Required skills

• Computer skills.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and databases.
