Supplier Relations and Market Research Specialist

About the role

The Supplier Relations and Market Research Specialist will drive market intelligence activities and manage supplier relationships to support QatarEnergy LNG’s sourcing decisions. This role combines analytical research with the coordination of Supplier Relations Management (SRM) processes to ensure optimal supplier performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a market intelligence framework to monitor pricing trends, cost structures, and supply dynamics.
• Collect, analyse, and maintain data on commodity movements and supply trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Support the SRM system by tracking supplier performance indicators, audit results, and feedback.
• Develop analytical tools, templates, and reports that provide visibility into market shifts and supplier performance.
• Present research findings to supply teams and senior management for use in tender evaluations and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand emerging needs and guide market research initiatives.
• Assist in high‑value category research to support cost avoidance, strategic sourcing, and negotiation strategies.
• Monitor geopolitical and technological developments that could affect supplier capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or supplier relationship management with a focus on market research or analytics.
