Supplier Relations & Market Intelligence Lead

About the role

The Supplier Relations & Market Intelligence Lead will design, implement and oversee QatarEnergy LNG’s Supplier Relations Management (SRM) framework. This senior position ensures that supplier value, criticality and performance are continuously optimized to deliver cost‑effective, innovative solutions for the company and its shareholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the corporate SRM framework to maximise supplier value and competitive advantage.
• Act as the SRM subject‑matter expert, fostering open communication and strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
• Coordinate with department, division and senior managers to align supplier relations with business needs.
• Identify procurement categories and direct market‑intelligence research to uncover cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assess, select and deploy market‑intelligence software and tools for the Supply department.
• Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, highlighting strengths and improvement areas.
• Design and deliver training on competitive offerings, pricing trends and market dynamics.
• Recruit, motivate and manage a Supplier Relations and Research Specialist team.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to capture emerging supplier requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, supply‑chain, business or a related commercial discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to apply market analysis to contracting negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of KPI development and supplier performance management.
