Training Instructor Supervisor – Armaments

About the role

The Training Instructor Supervisor – Armaments leads the delivery and supervision of both theoretical and practical armament training for Typhoon aircraft at the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility (QTTF). The role combines curriculum ownership, instructor management, and safety oversight to ensure high‑quality training outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter and curriculum lead for armament maintenance training.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Training Instructors, allocating them to instructional and mentoring duties.
• Prepare and deliver courses in line with the authorised syllabus and the Training Management Information System (TMIS) schedule.
• Oversee invigilation, marking of examinations and continuous assessment of trainee progress.
• Coordinate aircraft, equipment and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for each course.
• Ensure pre‑use equipment checks, safety procedures and a safe training environment.
• Maintain trainee discipline, report absences and monitor instructor performance.
• Liaise with QTTF personnel on planning, standards, compliance and exam management.
• Identify course deficiencies and propose improvements to the Training Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising training instructors in an armament or aerospace environment.
• Strong knowledge of Typhoon aircraft systems and related maintenance procedures.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop instructional staff.
• Commitment to safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
