Vehicles Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Vehicles Operations Supervisor manages the site Vehicle Operations Program, including the Vehicle Control Program, Vehicle Operator Licensing, Training and Evaluation, and liaison between Vehicle Maintenance and users for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The supervisor also manages the GPMS AF-registered in-use vehicle program and carries out all duties in line with USAF mandatory requirements, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement and the Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the site VCO, CFV program and fleet management duties, and provide periodic VCO training and safety meetings and briefings.
• Conduct Vehicle Operator Licensing and Training, maintain the licensing and training database, and provide driver training and evaluation.
• Manage monthly operator forms, periodic VCO inspections, and attend accident investigation boards when convened.
• Manage site-level AF-registered in-use vehicle authorization requests within the Vehicle Technical Exhibit.
• Provide initial and recurring training for personnel appointed to Vehicle Control Officer positions.
• Coordinate with using organizations for timely vehicle repairs and participate in vehicle utilization boards.
• Work in an office, maintenance shop or warehouse environment, possibly outdoors for long periods, and wear PPE where required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum three years of military experience in Vehicle Operations, Licensing and Training.
• Valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license; US citizenship required for facility credentials at this location.
• Able to lift, push or pull at least 50 lbs and physically capable of all duties.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Preferred: four years of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers, Windows and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Preferred: knowledge of DPAS, fleet management, maintenance data collection and reporting, and small computer operations.
