Architectural Draftsman – CAD Specialist

About the role

We are a boutique architectural practice in Doha seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsman to translate the Principal Architect’s concepts into precise CAD drawings and support the permit submission process.

Key responsibilities

• Convert design ideas and voice notes into accurate 2D CAD drawings.
• Prepare and submit permit documentation that meets Qatar authority requirements.
• Coordinate drawing sets with MEP, structural and interior consultants.
• Maintain organized drawing registers and file management.
• Produce 3D models when project needs dictate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D, including proper layer naming, line weights and external references.
• Familiarity with Qatar authority submission formats (experience with MME submissions is a plus).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

Required skills

• AutoCAD 2D
• AutoCAD 3D (optional but beneficial)
• Revit (working knowledge)
