Assistant Pastry Chef

About the role

We are seeking a talented Assistant Pastry Chef to join the culinary team of a prominent luxury lifestyle hotel in Doha. Working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef, you will help create world‑class pastries, desserts and baked goods that enhance our distinguished dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and presenting high‑quality pastries, desserts and baked items across all hotel outlets.
• Support menu development and seasonal offering creation alongside the Executive Pastry Chef.
• Maintain consistency, quality and meticulous attention to detail in all pastry output.
• Uphold hygiene and food‑safety standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and control inventory within the pastry kitchen.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• Formal culinary training, preferably from a French culinary school.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
• Strong command of pastry techniques, baking methods and dessert presentation.
• Creative, detail‑oriented and passionate about pastry arts.
• Ability to perform at a high standard in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
