Assistant Venue Manager

About the role

The Assistant Venue Manager supports the venue operations team in delivering exceptional guest experiences at a Marriott property in Doha. This role ensures smooth daily operations, maintains high service standards, and assists in staff leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to provide optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and address any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the venue.
• Maintain organized storage areas using FIFO principles and conduct regular inventories.
• Monitor dining areas for seating availability, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Create and follow work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Enforce company safety, security, and appearance policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
