About the role
The Banquet & Catering Coordinator will support the Banquet Operations team at La Cigale Hotel, ensuring seamless execution of events and optimal staffing. This role combines operational planning, guest service, and administrative duties within a dynamic five‑star environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan manning allocation and work assignments according to event requirements while monitoring labor costs.
- Prepare car passes, food tags, tent and place cards for service teams and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
- Verify previous‑day bills, BEOs and assignment sheets, file them correctly, and arrange BEOs for kitchen meetings.
- Update electronic signage for each event and coordinate casual staffing requisitions and registrations.
- Perform monthly manning accruals and assist with manager or administrative duties as needed.
- Address guest complaints promptly, following established procedures and reporting to the Banquet Operation Manager within 30 minutes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in banquet or catering coordination within a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules demand.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and event‑planning processes.
- Proficiency with electronic signage systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to manage labor scheduling and perform cost‑control activities.
