Beach Guru

About the role

The Beach Guru is responsible for maintaining the beach and recreational areas of Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests. This role supports the Recreation Department by following SOPs, delivering excellent customer service and contributing to the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all Recreation Department SOPs and task lists.
• Organise, clean and maintain the entire recreation area, back‑offices and workstations.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored securely and maintained in good condition.
• Manage towel inventory, transporting linens to and from laundry and maintaining adequate stock.
• Provide amenities services to club and hotel guests and ensure availability at all times.
• Collect and account for recreation fees in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Support other hotel departments with lateral service and overnight cleaning when required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct on and off duty.
• Drive revenue for the recreation department through guest engagement and service.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of recreation activities, facilities and equipment.
• Ability to follow company policies, SOPs and health‑safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to remain calm and courteous.
• Team player who can collaborate with other departments.
• Basic accounting awareness for fee collection.
