Director of Commercial Strategy

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Doha is seeking a Director of Commercial Strategy to shape the hotel’s commercial direction and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with the Directors of Marketing Communications and Revenue Management to align strategy with financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the hotel’s commercial strategy to maximise revenue, market share and profit.
• Oversee the Revenue and Marketing departments, including demand forecasting, inventory and channel management.
• Develop the annual budget and adapt the marketing plan in response to market fluctuations.
• Manage expenditure for all sales activities and monitor monthly forecasts.
• Identify new revenue opportunities and communicate strategies to sales and marketing teams.
• Lead the pricing, distribution and positioning of transient, group and catering segments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial strategy, revenue management or senior sales leadership within the hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and forecast demand.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with General Manager, Marketing and Revenue teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive profitable outcomes.
