Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for routine maintenance and upkeep of Marriott’s property vehicles and related equipment at the Doha location. The role ensures that all vehicles and tools operate safely and efficiently through regular inspections, servicing, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles, including checking oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, charging batteries and replacing spark plugs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment such as cleaning, lubrication and regular inspections.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance parts and requisition supplies as needed.
• Record daily logs of operations, maintenance activities, safety incidents and equipment performance.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
• Communicate professionally with staff, answer telephone calls and prepare written documentation accurately.
• Assist with physical tasks such as moving, lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lb and performing visual inspections of equipment.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum two years of related vehicle or equipment maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

• Vehicle maintenance (oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Preventative maintenance on tools and equipment (cleaning, lubrication).
