Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining the fleet of property vehicles and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in optimal working condition. This full‑time position supports the hotel's operations by performing routine and preventative maintenance, managing inventory, and adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles (engineering trucks, shuttle vans, electric carts) including oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and routine inspections.
• Maintain proper maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed, and keep accurate daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report hazards or incidents, complete required safety training, and store flammable materials correctly.
• Ensure a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and communicate clearly with colleagues and external contacts.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, and positioning objects up to 50 lb, and conduct visual inspections to identify defects.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

• Vehicle maintenance (oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark‑plug replacement).
• Tool and equipment preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, inspection).
