Facility Maintenance Technician

About the role

SOSi is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to support a Government customer at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The role involves performing a wide range of minor repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance across the base’s facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, remodel, and maintain interior and exterior structures made of wood, light‑gauge metal, drywall, plaster, and associated plumbing systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and user‑level preventive maintenance checks on plumbing, ensuring higher‑level inspections are completed.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, clogged fixtures, and old piping.
• Coordinate with other tradesmen and civil engineering authorities.
• Read and work from blueprints, specifications, and drawings to execute repairs and upgrades.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contract specifications.
• Install, repair, or replace furnishings, fixtures, doors, flooring, ceilings, cabinets, roofing components, windows, and exterior drainage.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• At least five years of relevant facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with residential and commercial structural, plumbing, locksmith, fencing, gating, and furnishings systems.
• Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in construction and facilities trades.
