F&B Hostess

About the role

The F&B Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable dining experience in a hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and seat them according to the floor plan.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and address any concerns or complaints.
• Conduct regular table visits to monitor satisfaction.
• Handle reservations, cancellations, and communicate changes to management.
• Pre‑assign tables and manage special requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized hostess stand and dining area.
• Ensure tables are properly set and ready for service.
• Monitor cleanliness and condition of equipment and supplies.
• Assist staff as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Collaborate with restaurant team to provide optimal service and promote a cooperative work climate.
• Rotate across different F&B outlets as required.
• Support cashiering procedures and balance transactions.
• Participate in training and other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle high‑volume periods.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
