Field Operator

About the role

The Field Operator will work on a large‑scale water treatment facility in Doha, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation while supporting maintenance and quality control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor local operating parameters and equipment status, recording data in log sheets and shift reports.
• Conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, filters, membranes, chemical dosing systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform plant start‑up, shutdown and equipment changeovers according to standard procedures.
• Identify abnormalities such as leaks, vibrations or malfunctions and report them promptly.
• Assist maintenance teams during planned and corrective maintenance, performing basic tasks like cleaning, lubrication and minor repairs.
• Support isolation and reinstatement of equipment before and after maintenance work.
• Collect water samples, assist with laboratory testing and monitor RO membranes, pretreatment and chemical dosing systems.
• Ensure the plant meets production and water‑quality targets while complying with HSE procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process or Water‑Treatment Engineering.
• Typically 3–4 years of experience in RO desalination plants (≥50 MLD), water‑treatment or wastewater‑treatment facilities, or related process industries.
