Freelance HSE Trainer (Shutdown Experience)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance HSE Trainer to deliver health, safety and environment training during industrial shutdown and turnaround campaigns. The role is project‑based and will support shutdown periods scheduled for March‑April 2026 and October‑November 2026/2027.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver shutdown‑focused HSE training programmes, including inductions, toolbox talks, refresher sessions and job‑specific safety modules.
• Ensure all training complies with international standards such as NEBOSH, IOSH and OSHA, as well as local regulations.
• Conduct training needs assessments to match programme content with project‑specific risks.
• Facilitate practical demonstrations, simulations and competency assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and training outcomes.
• Provide HSE orientation for multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
• Offer technical expertise on confined space entry, hot work, working at heights, lifting operations and permit‑to‑work systems.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of HSE experience with at least 3 years on shutdown/turnaround projects.
• Recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH PSM or equivalent OSHA certification.
• Trainer/assessor qualification (e.g., Highfield, IOSH) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shutdown‑specific risks, controls and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to engage diverse workforces.
• Proficiency in Hindi, English and Urdu (spoken and written) is an advantage.
• Availability for both scheduled shutdown periods.
