Head Hostess

About the role

The Head Hostess leads the front‑of‑house guest experience at a luxury hotel restaurant. You will manage reservations, seating, and guest flow while ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for all diners.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones, take dining reservations and enter guest information into the reservation system.
• Maintain the wait list, provide accurate wait times and make seating decisions using the station rotation chart.
• Organise seating for large parties and guests with special needs.
• Greet guests, seat them, set tables with appropriate place settings, and guide them through the dining area.
• Monitor dining rooms for availability, service quality and safety.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures and uniform standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in a food‑and‑beverage or hospitality setting.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
