Junior Sous Chef

About the role

The Junior Sous Chef will support the smooth operation of the main and outlet kitchens at our luxury Doha hotel. You will ensure high‑quality food preparation, presentation, and adherence to standardized menus while fostering a collaborative team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of all food items according to hotel SOPs and menu guidelines.
• Monitor production standards to maintain the highest level of quality.
• Control food cost by tracking inventory and waste.
• Participate in concept development and menu creation for special events and functions.
• Implement HACCP and local hygiene standards at all times.
• Deliver consistent on‑the‑job training for culinary colleagues.
• Promote health and safety practices throughout the kitchen.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a junior sous chef or similar supervisory role within a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen SOPs, HACCP, and food cost management.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse culinary team.
• Creative mindset for menu development and event catering.
