Laundry Manager

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Laundry Manager to lead our hotel’s laundry department. In this fast‑paced hospitality environment you will ensure high‑quality linen service, maintain equipment, and drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, folding and distribution of linens and guest laundry items.
• Supervise, train and motivate laundry staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards and hotel policies.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows to guarantee timely processing of laundry.
• Oversee inventory of laundry supplies, detergents and chemicals.
• Coordinate regular maintenance of laundry equipment and address malfunctions promptly.
• Enforce health, safety and hygiene standards in line with hotel policies and local regulations.
• Prepare and manage the department budget, controlling costs and maximizing efficiency.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest expectations and resolve laundry‑related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment usage, maintenance logs and staff schedules.
• Conduct quality checks and participate in audits to ensure brand compliance.
• Implement innovative solutions to improve processes and reduce environmental impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing laundry operations in a 5‑star hotel.
• In‑depth knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemicals and textile care techniques.
• Strong leadership, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency with computer applications and inventory management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations for laundry operations.
• Strong cost‑management, budgeting and problem‑solving skills.
