Learning and Development Manager

About the role

The Learning and Development Manager will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of training programmes for all hotel staff, from front‑line employees to senior managers. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will ensure that learning initiatives align with the hotel’s strategic objectives and support a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve orientation and training programmes for hotel employees.
• Conduct training needs assessments and source or create internal and external learning solutions.
• Deliver training sessions, maintain training logs and evaluate programme effectiveness.
• Support HR processes including coaching, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration and employee engagement.
• Oversee compliance with local employment law, compensation, benefits and termination procedures.
• Prepare turnover reports, manage payroll data entry and monitor work‑related injury reporting.
• Collaborate with the Employee Housing Manager on related initiatives.
• Maintain certification as a trainer for all HR training modules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning and development within the hospitality sector or a comparable environment.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, compensation, benefits and local labour regulations.
• Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality and build effective relationships with staff and guests.
