Manager IT – Airport Operations Support

About the role

You will be at the heart of a world‑class airport, owning and leading the critical IT systems that keep passenger journeys, baggage handling and airfield activities running 24/7. Your work directly impacts operational safety, efficiency and the overall passenger experience by ensuring these systems are always available, secure and high‑performing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 support for core airport systems such as AODB, BHS and other operations platforms.
• Take full ownership of incidents, ensuring stability, availability and rapid recovery of live airport services.
• Personally lead major incidents from detection through resolution, driving root‑cause analysis and preventing recurrence.
• Manage a team of engineers and support staff, fostering a high‑performance culture in a 24/7 environment.
• Drive live system support and ongoing upgrades (e.g., AMS upgrade) and ensure smooth handover from project to business‑as‑usual.
• Support continuous system improvements, enhancements and cyber/IT operational processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in airport IT systems, with hands‑on work in AODB and BHS.
• Proven leadership of teams operating in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong incident and problem management ownership, having handled critical incidents at scale.
• Experience working within internal IT teams rather than purely vendor‑side.
• Familiarity with large‑scale airport operations and high operational complexity.
• Comfortable thriving in fast‑paced, high‑pressure settings.
