Material Agreement Specialist

About the role

The Material Agreement Specialist is responsible for preparing, developing, and administering material contracts and tenders to ensure optimal cost, compliance, and material availability for end‑users. This role supports Qatar Energy LNG’s procurement strategy by managing the full contract lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement annual objectives and KPIs aligned with departmental and corporate strategies.
• Lead the procurement agreement process, including Invitations to Tender (ITT), evaluations, and contract award.
• Coordinate tendering activities, monitor contract compliance, and ensure on‑time material delivery.
• Align internal expediting teams with external vendors, packers, and freight forwarders to meet material demand.
• Analyze historical demand, spend trends, and market intelligence to recommend cost‑optimising buying opportunities.
• Prepare for internal and external audits, TOFA reviews, and ensure all contractual controls are maintained.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply‑chain management, or a commercial discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of direct procurement/purchasing experience in the oil and gas industry.
