Mechanical Engineer – MMUP/UPDA Grade A (Qatar)

About the role

Técnicas Reunidas is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer certified at MMUP/UPDA Grade A to lead technical purchase activities for major equipment in Qatar. The role involves close collaboration with the client and internal departments to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete technical purchase cycle for assigned equipment, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate with client, Technical Office, Process, Procurement, Inspection, and Projects teams to provide required technical information.
• Attend project meetings, review activities, and update TAES application weekly.
• Identify technical and economic improvement opportunities and propose value‑engineering actions.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification/registration.
• 12–15 years of relevant engineering experience, with substantial experience in Qatar/GCC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
