Onshore Lifting Superintendent – Major Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Onshore Lifting Superintendent to lead safe and compliant lifting operations across major project sites. The role acts as the technical focal point for all lifting activities, ensuring governance, risk mitigation, and effective execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assure critical lifting scopes for major projects.
• Implement and manage lifting safety assurance programs in line with company standards.
• Provide feedback on safety concerns and support equipment integrity programs.
• Conduct site observations, interventions, and audits to ensure safe execution.
• Facilitate communication among contractors, third‑party vendors, and certification authorities.
• Maintain and update the project lifting code of practice.
• Support resource selection, recruitment, and onboarding for lifting teams.
• Assist project teams with risk screening and formal risk assessments for greenfield and brownfield lifts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in onshore lifting supervision for large‑scale construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting regulations, codes of practice, and safety protocols.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety leadership.
