Painter I

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a Painter I to join its facilities team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying and maintaining high‑quality finishes on walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers, stripping old finishes, sanding, abrasive blasting or other methods.
• Cover and protect surrounding areas during painting and place appropriate signage.
• Clean, store and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors, stains or varnishes as required.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
• Perform physical tasks such as ladder work, lifting up to 50 lb, bending, twisting and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 1 year of related painting or surface‑finishing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work safely and follow company procedures.

Required skills

• Paint application using brush, roller and spray gun.
• Surface preparation techniques (sanding, stripping, abrasive blasting).
• Color coordination with external vendors.
• Use of ladders and basic safety equipment.
