Part-time PhD Peer Reviewer – Computer Science, Hardware & Architecture

About the role

We are seeking a qualified academic professional to serve as a part‑time peer reviewer for manuscripts in Computer Science, focusing on hardware and architecture. The position is remote and long‑term, allowing you to contribute your expertise while maintaining flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and significance.
• Provide constructive, written feedback and highlight any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five peer‑reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills
