About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. You will deliver transdisciplinary inquiry‑based learning, fostering curiosity and international‑mindedness in a vibrant, student‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Create an inclusive, engaging classroom that promotes student agency and a love of learning.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and specialist colleagues to design, reflect on, and refine units of inquiry.
• Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes, and essential elements throughout teaching.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and involve them meaningfully in their child’s learning journey.
• Contribute to school events, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school.
• Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework and transdisciplinary learning.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated, student‑centred lessons.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice, continuous professional development, safeguarding and child welfare.
• IB PYP workshop training and international school experience are desirable.
