Project Director – Design (Civil Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Project Director – Design to lead multiple design projects in Doha, Qatar. The role oversees the full design lifecycle from concept through issued for construction, ensuring quality, schedule, budget and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure design projects, from concept through detailed design and IFC.
• Guide and support Project Managers, monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget and quality, and intervene proactively when needed.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships, lead senior‑level meetings and ensure client priorities are addressed.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (civil, structural, architectural, utilities, transportation) to deliver technically sound and constructible solutions.
• Oversee planning, resource allocation, risk management, quality assurance and commercial control across the project portfolio.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience at Project Director, Program Director or Design Director level on complex infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple multidisciplinary projects simultaneously while maintaining visibility of technical, commercial and delivery issues.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment, making timely decisions and solving complex problems.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and client‑facing capabilities.
