Project Manager – Restaurant Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of world‑class restaurant projects, including new store openings, remodels and capex initiatives. The role works closely with operations, design, procurement, supply chain and other internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with landlords, developers and internal development teams to define project design parameters.
• Conduct preliminary site surveys and document construction and design requirements.
• Coordinate with the design team throughout the design phase and evaluate detailed feasibility studies and bills of quantities.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new vendors and contractors, obtain necessary building permits.
• Develop construction programmes, timelines and oversee site execution through regular visits.
• Approve materials and ensure contractor compliance with contracts and specifications.
• Manage signage, furniture and owner‑provided packages through approved subcontractors.
• Monitor interim and final payments, variations and prepare snag lists.
• Oversee the hand‑over process, resolve post‑construction snags and release retention upon successful completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG, retail or restaurant construction.
• Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards and life‑safety regulations.
• Familiarity with F&B or retail design considerations such as kitchen layouts and customer flow.
• Ability to plan, organise and adapt to meet business objectives.
