Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant ensures that the hotel’s fitness, pool, and leisure areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests. You will be the first point of contact at the recreation reception, promoting facilities and assisting guests with their wellness needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the gym, pool side, changing rooms, reception, kids club and game room.
• Promote the recreation facilities to hotel residents and prospective members.
• Handle the kids club and game room operations, ensuring a safe environment.
• Report any malfunctioning lighting or mechanical equipment promptly.
• Assist guests with spa amenities such as sauna, steam room and hot tub.
• Adhere to all health, safety and manual‑handling regulations.
• Answer phone calls at the recreation reception, take messages and provide information.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments, attend meetings and training sessions, and contribute ideas to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Ability to speak and understand English; Arabic is a plus.
• Prior experience in recreation, fitness centre or housekeeping roles.
• Understanding of correct manual‑handling techniques.
• Professional grooming, high energy and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
• Capability to work independently and follow a flexible roster.
