Secondary Psychology Teacher

About the role

Newton British Academy – Barwa City is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Psychology Teacher to join its growing team in Doha. The successful candidate will deliver engaging psychology lessons to secondary students, fostering curiosity and critical thinking about human behaviour and mental processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Assess, monitor and report on student achievement and progress.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent learning.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, English & Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching psychology in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for psychology education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
