Senior AI Engineer (Banking Experience Required)

About the role

Our client, a leading banking and financial services organization, is investing heavily in advanced AI and digital transformation. They are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise‑grade Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Agentic AI, large language model (LLM) and multi‑agent solutions.
• Architect AI platforms using retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings and knowledge retrieval.
• Design scalable AI solutions on Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, including Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Develop production‑grade AI services with Python, APIs, microservices and Kafka.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance across AI engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML.
• Proven track record delivering AI solutions into production.
• Strong background in AI architecture, cloud engineering and enterprise integration.
• Mandatory banking or financial services experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Expert Python programming and API development.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, RAG and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel or similar tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and MLOps.
• Strong experience with Kafka, Spark, SQL, Git, CI/CD pipelines and model monitoring.
