Senior Associate – Criminal Litigation

About the role

Al Sulaiti Law Firm is seeking a highly driven, bilingual (Arabic/English) Senior Associate to strengthen its Criminal Litigation practice. The successful candidate will manage complex criminal matters, contribute to defence strategy, and represent clients in high‑stakes proceedings across Qatar and the wider MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead criminal cases from investigation through trial and appeal.
• Draft defence memoranda, pleadings, submissions and legal opinions of the highest quality.
• Present oral advocacy before courts and public prosecution, including witness examination.
• Develop and implement pragmatic, solution‑oriented defence strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of criminal law frameworks in Qatar and the MENA region.

Required profile

• Law degree with valid legal qualifications.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience in criminal litigation.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven track record handling high‑profile criminal cases.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
