Senior Drainage Advisor

About the role

Burjline Builders is looking for a Senior Drainage Advisor to lead technical and operational strategy for a large‑scale drainage and wastewater infrastructure programme in Qatar. The role provides high‑level advisory support to ensure efficient network operations, asset management and continuous performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and technical advice on drainage and wastewater operations.
• Guide best practices for network maintenance, asset management and utility performance.
• Support governance, business transformation and operational risk management initiatives.
• Review and enhance policies, procedures and operational processes.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee contract management to ensure compliance with organisational objectives.
• Contribute to long‑term planning and continuous improvement of drainage infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
• Approximately 30 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in the water or wastewater sector.
• Minimum 5 years in an Operations & Maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of drainage networks, wastewater systems and utility operations.
• Experience in asset management, contract management and performance improvement.
• Proven background in technical advisory, programme management or senior engineering leadership.
• Experience in the Middle East is highly desirable.
• Chartered Engineer status or recognised professional accreditation is an advantage.
